The pickle ball paddle I acquired is working well and I’m enjoying it. One idea….when you sell these, you should include a sheath … something simple to carry it in. My wife ordered a Kenetics paddle and that’s how it came. I’m jealous!
i bought the heavier icon and love it. I just wish the grip was larger. I had to add overwrap and it is still a bit small. I don’t think I have large hands so I don’t know why it seems so small to me. Other than the grip, I love the paddle. I am still learning to spin and this will help tremendously.
Much easier to get paddle in positions. Got a lot more shots returned. Felt very good in my hand.
I've been playing for about 4-5 years with the last 2 years affected by covid, retirement move and health issues...so not as consistent play as I am used to. I've had several lessons, participated in instructional leagues and competed in several tourneys. I listen to Pickleball Therapy and Tony advertises how great the Icon is...mostly that his wife isn't having elbow issues after playing. I had a Selkirk Omni for the last few years so I decided I needed a new paddle.
I love the feel of the face...smooth but tacky...It helps put a little more spin in my hits. The grip is also a little tacky, which I love. I found the first day playing, I hit the ball with more power, which resulted in more out balls. Second day out, I was able to dial it in better and achieve a softer game. I find that I'm able to hold the paddle with less of a death grip- allowing for a better soft game, and better for my elbow as well.
I like the no-edge...face goes all the way to edge...no wayward balls from hitting the edges on the paddle. ( I have enough trouble with wayward balls.)
I really enjoy this paddle...I'm getting it dialed in and able to hit with more control and power when I need it. Can't wait to hit the courts!
Oh yeah, just ordered the teal edge guards to add some color flash too...Nice touch Diadem!
This paddle is the real deal, perfect balance and the weight just right.
Great for reset and dinking.
